how to tackle Huge Difference in Values in charts

Dear,

I wan to make a bar chart with below table

	Budget	Actual
SAP	100.0	90.00
H2	10800.0	9000.00

but because the difference is high in SAP & H2 categories.... the Bar for SAP is very minimum.

Is there any way to have different scales for SAP and H2 but on single graph chart.

Unfortunately, Excel does not natively support dual-axis bar charts where each category (SAP, H2) can have a separate scale. However, here are a few workarounds you could try:

Use a Combo Chart with Secondary Axis:

• Create a Combo Chart by selecting your data.
• Assign "SAP" to the Primary Axis and "H2" to the Secondary Axis.
• Format the chart to ensure the bars are visible with distinct scaling.

Normalize Your Data:

• Divide each value by a factor to reduce the range (e.g., divide SAP values by 10 while keeping H2 as is).
• Add a note explaining the scaling adjustments in your chart for clarity.

Consider Logarithmic Scaling:
If your data spans several magnitudes, apply a logarithmic scale to the axis. This works better for visualizing vast differences but might not suit all audiences.
